    Network Field Service Representative

    Duty Location(s):  Charleston, SC

    This position is responsible for providing remote and onsite service and support to United States Marine Corp (USMC) deployments.  Acts as mobile field service engineer on assigned participate in exercises and deployment to establish and maintain network operations for the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).  The engineer will resolve technical issues in a timely manner and coordinate with filed and shipboard personnel for configuration setting throughout deployments.  This includes establishing and maintaining communication between GCSS-MC data assets for deployment preparations and throughout deployments. This position serves as a senior technical resource assisting both end users and less experienced support analysts in effectively identifying issues and using effective troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical issues.

    This position does not support operations within hostile Area of Responsibility (AOR). 

    Description:

    • Serves as customer facing technical resource and works in collaboration with engineers and other senior military staff as needed to provide effective end user support and issue resolution.
    • Using system analysis techniques responds to the complex application issues for end users. Identifies problems and coordinates appropriate corrective action. Identifies and minimizes potential risks.
    • Consults with users and the Program Office, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
    • Collects detailed information, performs thorough analysis and relies on experience and judgment to determine the most effective method of resolution.
    • Escalates problems to other departments as needed.
    • Prioritizes and implements approved system modifications, programs and other such requests of medium to high complexity.
    • Serve as a project team member on project implementations; independently completing assigned tasks of medium to high complexity resulting in successful, on time and on budget projects.
    • Prepares activity reports on support activities.
    • Creates formal documentation including configuration documentation, test documentation, and support documentation.
    • Provide value as a team member in cross functional implementations while demonstrating effective interpersonal skills resulting in successful systems implementation and support.
    • Promote knowledge transfer to influence positive change and strengthen the network performance.
    • May provide on-call support coverage via on call rotation schedule as needed

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Five (5) years experience in operating USMC and US Navy delpoyed communications systems.  Experience working with limited supervision.  Good communication and technical writing skills.  Must me able to deploy and support USMC training and operations in the field and on US Navy ships.

    Education:  High School Diploma required.  Bachelor of Science Degree a Plus.  Prior USMC experience in the 06XX MOS a plus.  Must have a minimum of a Secret Clearance.

    Computer System Analyst II

    Duty Location(s): Charleston, SC

    The Computer Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a Master Configuration Management Repository/Library for all hardware, software items and documentation maintained in the repository in support of all NECC Programs. The scope of this work is to focus on defining requirements set forth to provide NECC Remedy Database View and Training Support for various programs and maintain a Master CM Repository/Library. The candidate shall ensure that all databases that use database management systems (DBMS) designed, implemented, and/or hosted on servers and/or mainframes supporting Navy applications and systems be registered in DADMS and FAM approved. All integrated, installed, or operational applications hosted on Navy networks must also be registered in DADMS and approved by the FAM.

    This position does not support operations within hostile Area of Responsibility (AOR). 

    Description:  Maintain the Master CM Repository/Library to for all items (hardware/software and documentation) maintained in the repository to include Shipment, Receipt, Reproduction, Safeguarding, secured environment/security measures, Storage, Tracking, Document Management, Software Management, destruction, markings, Updates and Traceability, Licenses and License Keys, and verifications/audits IAW Directives.

    Maintain effective CM control of all items checked in or out of the Master Library/CM Repository. Prepare, ship and track of all software items being shipped out of the Library/Repository.

    Receive and maintain a Master set(s) for all the baselined systems.

    Generate copies of all media for fleet issue and use ensuring proper security markings and labeling IAW security directives.

    Complete the required documentation to destroy and degauss all nonessential unclassified and classified CD’s, DVD’s, tapes, hard drives, and classified documents IAW SECNAV M-5510.36.

    Provide documentation on all destruction of classified media and send to SPAWAR CMCC so classified control numbers can be removed off inventory lists. Update all required documentation and the CM data library database to reflect the media that has been destroyed. 

    Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:  Three (3) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Inputting, assigning and tracking trouble tickets in Navy Remedy/ITSM data base . Three (3) years experience with drafting and formatting Naval messages.be there once we win the new work as well.  I have included the description below. 

    Education:  High School diploma or GED with 2 years relevant experience. Higher education in a relevant field will be considered in lieu of the 2 years experience. Completed the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: A+ or Security +
